Our culture tells us that alcohol will solve all of our problems.
It’ll alleviate our stress, help us feel happier
and build our confidence.
Â
But is that your experience with alcohol?
It certainly wasn't mine. I had to take a break from the booze to see how much different life could be. You don't have to quit forever or even know what's next after a break. You just have to make the commitment to run your own little experiment.
Â
There are very few things that I can say I know for certain. One of the things I do know is that I've never regretted NOT having a hangover.
Â
If alcohol is getting in your way of living the life you truly desire, it's time.

Overall, I’m learning through your “drink less live more” program that I no longer want to drink so much that I get to the “tuning out” phase and I’m numb to my feelings. I want to be present, and if I do decide to have a drink, it will be more “sipping” a drink and not mindlessly drinking and wonder how in the world I just had 3-4 glasses so quickly.Â

I have been listening to your podcast for a while now. It's been really great to hear your story and get your advice to help with my own AF journey. I just finished your 14 day break from Booze program which was super helpful. Admittedly I was already a month or so in when I started it and took longer than 14 days to complete due to work travel and life but it was so so great and gave me even more motivation. Thank you!Â

I work with women who have experienced trauma and often run drinking to deal with it. While I'm in more of a gray area of drinking, I've noticed my own healthy behavior with wine. Working with Rachel has helped me with understanding the "why" through the Enneagram and it's helped me help my clients!

12-Week Course
The reason why many programs fail is because they focus on stopping the behavior (drinking).
That just leaves us feeling deprived and always wanting the 'forbidden fruit'.Â
It’s just like any restrictive diet. We can white knuckle through for a period of time, but then...we go back to old habits.
Willpower is rarely an effective long-term strategy.
Instead, I’ll teach the deeper reasons why you are drinking so you can minimize the desire.
Now that's real FREEDOM.
Understand the deeper reasons you drink and start telling your truth.Â

I was a classic candidate for Rachel’s program. An everyday wine drinker, with a minimum of two full glasses and frequently an entire bottle at the end of each day. I had tried to stop completely numerous times but would fail after 4 or 5 days. When I heard about a program that didn’t require you to stop drinking, it piqued my interest. Nine months later, I now plan my drinking according to my calendar and have cut back by 80%. I no longer “need” my wine at the end of each day; instead, I reach for a zero ginger ale or a non-alcohol prosecco, pour into a wine glass, and relax. I was able to substitute my alcohol habit with non-alcohol, and now rarely drink alcohol at home. It didn’t take long for me to understand that it is the habit of unwinding at the end of the day that I need, and alcohol doesn’t have to be a part of that relaxation time. I still have two glasses of wine when we go out for dinner 1-2 times a week but have attended many parties and events and ordered club soda with lime instead of wine. I feel better mentally-- don’t miss the middle of the night headaches-- and physically, I’m more motivated to exercise. It’s great to know that I can still drink, but I don’t feel that I need to, just to get through the day! Rachel’s program is transformative, and I can’t recommend it enough.
